Earn Cashback When Buying a Mobile Phone

Did you know that you can earn cashback when buying a mobile phone or renewing your mobile phone contract?

Well, you can and its a very simple process. I suspect very few people actually take advantage of the available mobile telephone cashback deals, despite the fact that the cashback payouts can be very high.

If you don’t yet have accounts at either TopCashback or Quidco you will need to set them up before you can take advantage of these deals.

If you have already set up accounts, then you are ready to look at some deals.

What Types of Cashback Deals are Available?

Some of the deals available at TopCashback today are shown in the screenshots below:

Carphone Warehouse cashback dealsYou can see that the amounts of cashback on offer are by no means trivial. Clearly, the highest cashback sums available are in relation to “premium” contract deals. However, even those entering into fairly standard contracts can obtain excellent amounts of cashback. The great advantage of these cashback deals is that they are usually available to existing customers as well as new customers.

If you divide mobile phone purchasers into 3 categories according to their budgets (low, medium, high), the following deals stand out from the rest:

(1) Low (below £20 per month)

Carphone Warehouse are offering cashback of £36.75 on any new pay month contract.

(2) Medium (£20-£42)

T-Mobile are offering cashback of £68.25 on any non-iPhone 24 month contract.

(3) High (£42+)

T-Mobile are offering cashback of £97.65 on any non-iPhone 24 month contract.

What About iPhone 5 Deals?

For those of you who are “married” to their iPhone (like I am), there are some fantastic cashback deals with O2 (as shown below):

If my current iPhone 5 contract expired tomorrow, I can assure you that I would be straight onto the topcashback website to purchase a brand new iPhone 5C and pocketing the £84 in cashback.

Of course, as with all cashback deals, it is important to ensure that you are genuinely getting a better deal than you could get by bartering with your existing provider or taking advantage of some other discount deal that is not shown on the cashback website. However, given the very significant cashback deals available, I would never even consider renewing my existing mobile telephone contract or signing up with another provider without first checking for available cashback deals at TopCashback and Quidco. I would be very surprised if you could get a better deal by going direct to the service provider.

Don’t forget that the actual purchase will be completed on the mobile telephone company’s own website so you will still be able to take advantage of any good deals on that website in addition to receiving the cashback payment from TopCashback.
